Northampton - Round 9 10/07/2010

Two weeks after Aldershot we found ourselves at Northampton - a track I'd spectated at a number of times but, again, a new track for me in the MASCAR

After the usual practice sesson I was feeling pretty confident - I felt comfortable on the track right from the get go, despite the massive pot hole on Turn 2!

As a result I choose to start off pole - the first time I would be off the front so a very new experience. Spirits were boosted just before the start of the meeting with the arrival of USA Stock Car's Steve Cooksey after an epic 8 hour journey from Cornwall.

It was to be another very successful meeting for the #19 team - I finished all the races, had some good on track battles (towards the back of the pack it has to be said) and, for the first time, felt that I was in the same race as the other cars

So another hugely enjoyable night's racing!
