There's a photo of me, aged about 6, proudly stood next to a Rover P4 painted in Coventry Avengers colours ready to do battle in the Bangers at Hednesford Raceway

That was in about 1984 and ever since I've dreamt of racing on the ovals

25 years later and thanks to a formula called MASCAR I'm realising that dream. In October 2009 I bought the ex-31 Dodge which I've been racing this season as the #19 Dodge Charger. It's been a fantastic, roller-coaster ride!

For me oval racing, from multi-millon dollar NASCAR in the US to the Hot Rods and Stock Cars (and MASCARs!) in the UK, provide the best motorsport you'll ever see

After a difficult start at Hednesford due to set up issues I've now had some decent results with solid top tens at Aldershot and Birmingham and I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season!
